Rocio Urban

A San Antonio native and dedicated educator, she brings 14 years of teaching experience to her professional journey. She holds a master’s degree in Science and Reading, along with specialized certifications in Coaching and Mentoring and English as a Second Language (ESL). Throughout her career, she has been passionate about helping others learn, grow, and feel supported, especially those who may face challenges along the way.

Outside of her professional life, she is a proud mother of four and the spouse of a Purple Heart recipient who sustained a traumatic brain injury while serving in Iraq during convoy security missions. Her family's experiences have given her a deeply personal understanding of resilience, sacrifice, and the unique challenges military families can face. Those experiences have shaped not only who she is but also how she connects with and supports others.

She is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy as she expands her professional journey into the mental health field. Her goal is to build on her experiences in education and her personal life to support individuals, couples, and families with compassion, empathy, and evidence-based care.

For her, this next chapter represents an opportunity to continue serving others in a meaningful way, drawing upon the knowledge, experiences, and lessons gained throughout her life and career to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
