National TBI Awareness Day at Capitol Hill

March is Brain Injury Awareness Month and TBI Warrior® Foundation was in Capitol Hill this week. We participated of the Administration for Community Living (ACL) in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Stakeholder Day on March 12, 2019, and the Brain Injury Awareness Day on Capitol Hill on March 13, 2019.

Brain Injury Awareness Day was hosted by the Congressional Brain Injury Task Force, co-chaired by representatives Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ) and Thomas J. Rooney (R-FL).

Seven years ago, in March 13, 2012 Congressman Silvestre Reyes presented a Congressional Record to now retired Sergeant First Class Victor Medina, President and Founder of TBI Warrior Foundation and his wife, Dr. Roxana Delgado.

TBI Warrior® Foundation seeks to advocate for better identification, access to rehabilitation and care of traumatic/brain injury, by,

  • Bridging the gaps of disparity for recovery care

  • Meet the needs of individuals with Brain Injury, especially younger adults that may be ineligible for government programs.

  • Increase awareness and education among survivors, caregivers and industries that can serve better individuals with acquired disabilities resulting from a Brain Injury.

As we continue to work to meet the needs of individuals with brain injury and the families affected by this condition, we are also making their voice being heard in Congress.

A Warrior face hardships and difficulties with Bravery, Courage and Honor. TBI Warriors are those that despite their medical conditions, continue to seek solutions to past, present and future survivors and their families.

Join our efforts! Consider sharing our mission with family, friends and colleagues and inspire them to donate to our organization.

We will march on to improve the quality of life of those affected by traumatic brain injuries. Until no one is left behind!
